Being considered an Essential Worker basically means 50 hour weeks at work, creative shopping trips so I can keep as many of my people at home as much as possible, discovering so many local restaurants via delivery, a new way to make chicken stock that I can’t wait to tell ya’ll about as well as the lasagna, the meatloaf, the green chili soup and the enchiladas that went so very wrong.
Thank you for your patience and sticking with me thru this! Since my Momma retired to live her Florida dream and The Baby moved out I have been a little bit sad about being in the kitchen but these new circumstances we find ourselves in have drawn me back into the heart of our home. The grocery limits are bringing us out of our comfort zones with substitutions but this doesn’t need to be scary! We get to flex our creative muscles! We get to really use all the things we learned at Grandmas knee or dust off the vintage cookbooks! We will embrace this new yet old frontier!
